Selfie vs. Portrait

These two photos are similar because they both are a photo of me. They are different because with the selfie I took it myself. In my portrait my partner took it of me. I think the portrait does a better job of capturing me because it shows my personality and who I am. I like the black and white better because I spent more time with the portrait than the selfie. I took it the selfie the period before class so it doesn't really capture who I am. It was weird having someone take a photo of me because I'm not really used to it. I felt more comfortable taking the selfie because I didn't have to think about posing. I also had full control on where and how the picture was taken. The difference between the quality is the portrait was edited and the selfie wasn't. I think photographers would choose one over the other because one does a better job capturing the person's identity than the other.

I thought this project was a cool and fun idea. It was a bit hard because at times I didn't know what to take for each theme. I personally think this project's end results came out pretty well. I maybe could have picked a better photo that would have blended better. This project represents my identity because the photos I took show how I perceive each theme through my eyes. 

This is one of my favorite videos because whenever I'm bored I liked to just turn on my speakers and I can play some music. I think this photo came out pretty cool because it captures the glow from when the colors change on the speakers. 

I like this picture because this was a cool picture to take at a rare moment. This is one of the brightest Rainbows I've ever seen. Also the fact that it was a double Rainbow was pretty cool. 

Lastly I like this picture because it was very fun to go around the school and take photos for this project with my friends. I also think this photo came out pretty good. 

Peer Portraits

Mikayla Young

                                 Mikayla Young is a very outgoing and shy person.  When taking this shot, I wanted to show she was shy by having her look away from the camera. She is not the type of person to want to be in the spotlight.  If she could change one thing about herself, she would change the color of her hair to blonde. She thinks that her greatest flaw is her awkwardness. In her free time, Mikayla likes to play her Ukulele, exploring, and hanging with friends. In the future she hopes to find new techniques to take cool pictures.

4.     Calm		Whenever I am not feeling well or I'm in a bad mood I just lay in my bed and watch YouTube which keeps me calm.
5.     Compassion		I have compassion for gaming because it's really fun and helps me make new friends.
6.     Authority		My mom and dad have authority over me. This is my dad.
7.     Pride		I love having CV Pride. CV is a great school with so many great programs and classes to choose from. I also like this eagle statue.
8.     Mysterious		Stairs are very mysterious because you never know what they may lead to.
9.     Wisdom		You can always find some sort of words of wisdom in every book you read.
10.  Love		My dogs mean so much to me because I love animals and they make me happy.
11.  Lazy		When it comes to laziness my dogs are definitely the best at it!
12.  Temptation		Reese's Cups are my favorite candy so they are a temptation of mine.
13.  Happiness		When I think of  Happiness I think of  Rainbows. They are super colorful and and make me happy when I see them.
14.  Growth		My feet grow really fast so growth to me reminds me of the shoes I get when my feet get bigger.
